You talk to an independent local tree provider. Headedtap Tree Service makes the introduction, then steps back. The provider is the one who looks at your tree, gives a quote, and does the work.

Each provider runs their own company. Their style, schedule, and price are their own.

What Happens After You Reach Out

First, you share a few facts. Where is the tree? How big is it? Is it leaning, split, or on something? Are there wires nearby?

Next, we match you with a provider who serves your area. They contact you to talk through the job. Many will want to see the tree, or at least photos, before they give a number.

Then you get a written quote. Take your time with it.

What to Ask a Provider

A few good questions save trouble later:

• Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
• Does the price cover cleanup and hauling the wood away?
• Do you carry liability insurance and workers' compensation?
• How will you protect my roof, fence, and lawn?
• Is stump grinding part of this quote or separate?
• What happens if rain, ice, or wind delays the job?

That last one matters in cold, snowy places. Frozen or soggy ground can change the plan.

For Storm Damage

If a tree is down after a storm, stay clear of it and of any wires. Take photos if it is safe to do so. Providers can often help document damage for a claim. Ask your insurer what your policy covers.

You do not have to accept the first quote. You can ask for changes, compare, or say no. There is no obligation. Written quote first, then you decide.
